IPS Renewal Team hosts Community Forum on MS to HS transitions & Small Schools

The transition into high school is a critical juncture for students as they move from smaller and often more nurturing middle schools to larger high schools, where academic and social demands are higher. The cost of failing to make this transition successfully is high for students and for the schools they serve. Unsuccessful high school transitions contribute to high dropout rates and low achievement. Therefore, it is vital to ensure that all students successfully make the shift to High School.
